Who I Am
GOAT MILES is the trading name used for my freelance web design, development and creative services. This website is operated from the United Kingdom. If you have any questions about this policy, contact me at goatmiles999@gmail.com.
What I Collect and Why
Contact Form
When you use the Hire Me form, I collect your name, email address, and project details. I use this only to respond to your enquiry. I don't add you to any mailing list or share your details with anyone.
GoatChat
When you use GoatChat, your messages and my responses are saved to a secure database (Supabase) along with a randomly generated session ID and an approximate location based on your IP address. This helps me understand how people use the chat feature and also helps improve the quality and reliability of GoatChat. Conversations are not tied to your identity unless you choose to share personal details in the chat.
Vercel Analytics
This site uses Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors find and use it. No cookies are used. No personal identifiers are stored. The data collected includes page views, device type, browser, approximate location, and referrer — all anonymised and aggregated.
Legal Basis (UK GDPR)
I process your data on the basis of legitimate interests for analytics, and with your consent when you submit the contact form or use GoatChat.
How Long I Keep Your Data
Contact form enquiries are kept for as long as necessary to handle your request. GoatChat conversations may be retained for up to 12 months. Vercel Analytics data is governed by Vercel's own retention policy.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data I hold about you. Just email me at goatmiles999@gmail.com and I'll respond as quickly as possible and in accordance with UK GDPR.
Third Parties
I use Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting and analytics), and Anthropic (AI powering GoatChat). Each has their own privacy policy. I don't sell your data. Ever.
Changes to This Policy
If anything important changes, I'll update this page and the date above.
